Valeria Cademartori was born in 1970 in Rome.
After completing classical high school in 1990 she studied Philosophy at the University "La Sapienza" of Rome, specialising in Aesthetics under Professor Emilio Garroni and Professor Pietro Montani. At the same time she attended an Illustration course at the European Institute of Design, where, among others, she studied under the illustrator Dariush. In September 1991 she attended a course at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. From 1992 to 1995 she studied with the painter, Professor Gianluigi Mattia.
Her first group-exhibition was in 1997 at the Gallery "Il Gabbiano" in Rome, curated by Guido Rebecchini. This was the first of several solo exhibitions presented by the Roman gallery. In 2004 she won the Prize "City of Monaco" at XXXVI Prix International d'Art Contemporain de Monte-Carlo.
Since 2005 she has been living and working between Berlin and Rome.
